Neovita Visitor Policy

At NeoVita, we recognize that family and friends play a critical role in a patient’s journey. Visitors bring comfort, encouragement, and emotional support  all of which aid healing. Our Visitor Policy is designed to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff while ensuring everyone’s well-being.

Respect & Conduct

  • Treat all patients, families, staff, and visitors with kindness, dignity, and respect.Avoid loud conversations, disruptive behavior, or interference with clinical care.
  • Alcohol, illegal drugs, vaping, and smoking are prohibited on NeoVita property.
  • Firearms and other weapons are strictly prohibited.
  • Solicitation, distributing materials, or requesting money from patients or visitors is not allowed.
  • Visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately and maintain a professional, calm demeanor within patient care areas.

Health & Safety

  • Do not visit if you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, congestion, breathing difficulties, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
  • Hand hygiene is required before and after patient visits; sanitizer stations are available throughout the facility.
  • Masks may be required in inpatient units, intensive care areas, pediatric units, surgical areas, or as directed by clinical staff.
  • Visitors may be asked to step aside if they are feeling unwell or if their presence could put patients at risk.
  • Please follow any unit-specific rules posted by staff, such as limits on personal items or food in patient rooms.

Visiting Hours & Guidelines

  • General Inpatients: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • ICU Patients: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with up to 2 visitors at a time.
  • Pediatric Patients: One parent or caregiver may remain 24/7; up to 2 additional visitors (age 8 or older) during visiting hours.
  • Surgery & Procedures: Patients may have up to 2 visitors per day, with only one visitor allowed in pre-op or recovery areas at a time.
  • Visitors should plan to arrive on time and limit visits to these hours to respect other patients and staff schedules.

Visitor Identification

  • All visitors must check in at the main entrance and present a valid photo ID to receive a visitor badge.
  • Badges must be worn at all times while inside NeoVita facilities.
  • Lost or misplaced visitor badges should be reported immediately to reception or security staff.

Supporting Patients

  • Visitors are encouraged to offer emotional support, read, or spend quiet time with patients.
  • Bringing small comfort items like flowers, cards, or personal mementos is welcome, unless restricted in certain care areas.
  • Please coordinate with nursing staff before bringing gifts or food to ensure safety.
  • Visitors should help maintain a calm and healing environment, including keeping mobile phones on silent and minimizing unnecessary movement.

Waiting Areas & Amenities

  • Comfortable waiting areas are available for families and friends not currently visiting the patient.
  • Amenities include refreshments, seating, and charging stations in designated areas.
  • Visitors are encouraged to stay hydrated, take breaks, and maintain personal well-being, so they can provide the best support to their loved one.

Emergency Protocols

  • In case of fire, evacuation, or other emergencies, visitors must follow instructions from NeoVita staff immediately.
  • Visitors may be asked to relocate temporarily or assist in guiding patients, depending on the situation.
  • Emergency exits are clearly marked in all public and patient care areas.

Special Circumstances

  • Exceptions to the visitor policy may be made for: End-of-life care,Patients with disabilities or special needs,Critical medical situations
  • Patients may request that certain individuals not visit; staff will honor these requests to ensure comfort and privacy.
  • Spiritual advisors, chaplains, and designated support persons may visit outside standard hours upon approval.

Visitor Preparation

  • Plan your visit ahead, especially if coming from out of town or coordinating with other family members.
  • Be aware of unit-specific rules, such as restricted items, noise control, or food limitations.
  • Ensure you are physically and emotionally prepared to support the patient without causing fatigue or distraction.
